So after returning from Hong Kong I'm back on the Piracetam and it's feeling great. I will avoid taking any other substance over the next few weeks and just stack my day with Piracetam, Choline and Creatine.Well it's the last semester of the year and my degree so time to give it that last little bit - boy will it feel good to finish. I have some psychometric tests coming up so time to hit the speed math and practise tests - ouch I know, but seems as though the entire Australian Finance Industry insists on differentiating students based on these results - crazy but F-it have to do it..
The Limitless Graduate blog documents the extremes that graduates of today are willing to go to in order to increase verbal articulation, mental energy, attention and overall cognitive ability. The major forms of supplements taken in this "experiment" include Piracetam and Aniracetam

Motivation - August Semester 2 2011
So I have had a few people contact me regarding motivation this semester and just want to give you guys a list of things that I do/read/hear to get me out of the Semester "Rut" that we all seem to find ourselves in from time to time.
1. Exercise: that's right you need to BURN energy to GAIN energy so move your ass
2. Instead of listening to shitty hits on your MP3 player why not feed your brain with words of wisdom from some of the greatest: Tony (Anthony) Robins - Ken Bradshaw or try some Motzart or brainwave technology
3. Just do it! - get on with what HAS to be done - we all have homework or jobs to do but we tend to put them off..... tomorrow.... the next day... then SHIT its due today. Don't think about when you will do it - just switch your brain off and just do it - you'll feel better for it.
4. Watch this movie - I know the audio isn't the best but listen to the words - I know it works for me!

Wednesday 8th of June - Exam Period
Well folks it's exam period here in Australia and I have just sat my Investments exam - only politics and business finance to go until me and the guys are off to Hong Kong! Still off the Piracetam (for now) but will return to my most loved substance as soon as I visit the Dr and get another subscription for Stilnox. Until then I will have to rely on my copious consumption of caffeinated beverages to get me through the day. Or I could do what my friend does (you know your name) and mix a wicked cocktail of Choline, Creatine, JACK, Piracetam and Vitamin B complex and drink this throughout the day. Although I have to say, this friend is frikin crazy (decided to drop a Adrafinil before our final - too funny)- but at the same time the guy is a genius so whatever works.

Thursday May 26
Sorry for not updating - exam period here in Australia so I have spent the majority of my time bunkered down studying... I have decided to take a break from taking medication for the next few weeks (until the exams are over) as I need as much focus that I can get. I figure if I can get straight HD's before taking meds I can get them again through hard work and dedication!
Will update soon

Nootropil (Piracetam) 800 mg - Day 14 + Adrafinil
9:30am: OK, so today is the official “two week” mark for when the effects of taking Piracetam are meant to be noticeable. In some of the blind tests that have been conducted, after a period of two weeks patients showed greater cognitive ability than before. However... today is not my official "two week" day on Piracetam because I have decided to take some Adrafinil (and NOT mix nooptropic drugs). So as I write my stomach is metabolising approximately 150mg of the drug (Adrafinil) or (Olmifon – whatever you want to call it). The question everyone wants to know is do these brain enhancing drugs work?? The answer put simply is yes. Whilst the effects of Piracetam take longer to surface, Adrafinil effects can be noticed within 40mins -60mins after taking the drug. My first experience with Adrafinil thanks to (you know your name) was great. I noticed that when writing an essay I analysed each individual words place within the sentence structure and found that I could concentrate the entire time. I even managed to watch the entire Bloomberg financial training series – weird experience and hard to describe.
Don’t go thinking this is like knocking back a can of Redbull because it’s not – to get the full effect of Piracetam or Adrafinil you actually need to be applying yourself within a study regime and as your heart rate remains the same (one of the beautiful things about this drug) you won’t feel the effects unless you are sitting down studying. I guess it’s very much like taking steroids and not going to the gym, the drug would be useless and you’d soon find yourself busting out in spots for no good reason at all!
Update soon.

Nootropil (Piracetam) 800 mg - Day 12 + Adrafinil
Well it has almost been a week since my last post and I must apologise as I have been flat out! – The Piracetam is still going well, the metallic taste has now gone and so has the weirdness associated with taking it (by this I refer to being a little spaced out – not really with it)
The positive note: I have noticed that I am able to concentrate for much longer at times and am a little more creative – again not sure how much can be attributed to the Piracetam but you never know!
What I have noticed however is I readily engage people more than I have previously, so if you are taking it and have also found that you have been talking to complete strangers I’d love to hear from you as I’m thinking I’m going crazy!
New addition to my daily supplements – Today I will trying Adrafinil for the first time which apparently works a charm!
Adrafinil description:
Adrafinil / Olmifon improves brain chemical processes to boost alertness without affecting normal sleep patterns Adrafinil is part of a new class of drug called ‘eugeroics’, which means ‘good arousal’. Designed to promote vigilance and alertness, it is a stimulant and anti-depressant that helps to sharpen mental focus by enhancing the chemical processes within the brain without affecting heart rate or pressure.
Side effects:
Adrafinil may occasionally cause headaches, stomach pains and skin irritations, and in certain cases, inner tension.I will let you all know how it goes later on today – it’s week 10 at my university some time to get cracking – will let you all know how it goes later on in the day.

Nootropil (Piracetam) 800 mg - Day 5
Well I'm now at Uni and am about to meet up for group work so I'll have to be brief. Feeling much better since lowering the dose of Piracetam to 1600mg per day. This may be the result of a lower dose, getting over my head cold, or supplementing the dose with Choline? either way, I ended up going for a 20min run yesterday afternoon and feel much better - I even decided to repeat this again at 6:00am this morning (Piracetam?? or just fed up with being lazy? hmmm)
9:03pm update: Still feeling much better, decided to take another Piracetam - more for shits and giggles really. Went for another run tonight - 10min followed by some weights ( all about practicing what you preach! ) now for some politics group work and bed.

Nootropil (Piracetam) 800 mg - Day 4 (Enough is Enough)
OK So have you ever had one of those mornings where you wake up and say to yourself "Enough is enough!"? - Well today I did. I have had enough of procrastinating, if I only spent a 1/4 of the time spent on Facebook or random websites on Investments or Business Finance I'd be all over the topics - Although I cannot control my actions in the past - I can control the future.
Well I'm off to start my "Enough is Enough" Day - If you have also had enough then perhaps you too should make some positive changes, again the past doesn't equal the future and the time to take action is now. Not up for it? then watch the video below for some fuel
4:18pm update: Feeling a lot better than yesterday - again only taking 1600mg of Piracetam a day along with a few 100mg of Choline and other essential vitamins.
I've also had enough of not exercising. You wouldn't believe the excuses I come up with to avoid exercise:
- I'm getting over a cold so I don't think I should just yet
- I'm taking experimental brain drugs - not sure what exercise can do to the process
- I don't really have the time - have sooo much University work to do
- Blah Blah Blah
So over it - the moral of the story is whether it be study, exercising or simply getting off your ass to clean the house - yard whatever - the secret is incremental changes. For example I used to run for 30mins at around 11km per hr - so now I feel like a failure when I jump on the treadmill and only run 20mins at say 10kms an hour - so what do i do about it? Decide not to run (now how pathetic does that sound?) or the fact that I used to be able to bench 110kgs in easy reps of 10 - so what do I do? Decide not to do weights as there is no way on this earth I could lift near that again - moral to the story - I'm harnessing a losers mentality and my health is suffering for it, so what to do about it? adopt an incremental approach and simply.. get on with it and leave excuses at the door.
Back to being a lab rat: well yesterday I lowered my dose to 1600mg of Piracetam and I feel much better, less spaced out and more with it. To be honest yesterday was the first day that I thought about getting off Nootropil it as I didn't feel too good mentally - by this I mean I was actually forgetting small things and bumping into shit all day... whether it was related or not I have no idea - I'll let you all know by the end of today if there has been any changes. Nootropil (Piracetam) 800 mg - Day 3
As stated in the simple law of gravity, what goes up must surely come down, and boy was I in a state last night. After reading my investments textbook, listening to music and a stint with Paul McKenna I could still not manage to get to sleep - nor was I tired. It is moments like this that I consider my previous insomniac episodes a blessing as I was lucky enough to have some Stilnox on hand (5mg Stilnox - Half Tablet)... ahhh sleep you have never felt so good...
Just like the previous night, my dreams were insanely vivid - I STILL remember the greatest of details of the dreams I had (5 separate ones) and the time is now 9:04am and I have been up since 7:00am. In regards to using Choline with Piracetam I believe it helped greatly yesterday - I wasn't as spaced out.
However to all readers out there - Google Choline first as you'd be surprised on how much of the vitamin is in regular foods - so my quest to find tablets that contained as little as 15mg of the substance is completely outweighed by a hardboiled egg which contains roughly 113 mg of Choline - now there is some food for though... get it? Lame I know.. well back to studying for me.

Nootropil (Piracetam) 800 mg - Day 2
The time is now 7:09am and my night has been free from insomnia. I have to agree with others on forums, your dreams are REALLY vivid - whether this was related to my steady recovery from the man-flu or due to the 2400mg of Piracetam running through my system is another question. I woke up during the night and felt like I was instantly analysing my dreams - once I went back to sleep it was as though I was in complete control of my dreams - weird... Well time for coffee and another round of 800mg tablets. A friend will be sourcing me some more substances over the next week or so - stay tuned for regular updates and feel free to ask any questions that you have. :)
9:30am update: Another tablet down the hatch
12:36pm update: Not sure if it's related but my hearing is insane!
1:30pm update: Feel a little weird by the piracetam - might need to suplement with Choline or reduce dosage
4:20pm update: After an extensive search through all my local health food stores for choline I found a multivitamin supplement that contained small does of it (15mg per tab) - lucky for me it was on clearance so was almost 50% off whoo hoo - thank you Coles Supermarket. So after smashing down 4 tabs and a can of Mother (for all my readers in the USA it's a pretty lethal energy drink) I feel fantastic - not sure about sleep tonight but for now I feel great!
2 High Grade Fish Oil Tablets
2 Vitamin C Tablets
4 Herron Natural Opti-Multi Tablets

Nootropil (Piracetam) 800 mg - Day 1
Feeling an improvement on my man-flu symptoms I have decided that I should begin my cycle of Nootropil (Piracetam) – Based upon my online advice (got to love forums) the daily dose will be 2400 mg of the drug. Having just smashed down a bowl of Special K (yes that was the only cereal available) the time has come to consume my first dose – bottoms up!
12:32 Update: Second tablet taken at 12:32, therefore 1600mg in the system thus far (coupled with 2068 mg of high grade fish oil)
2:15pm Update: symptoms thus far - head feeling a little hot and can feel my pulse on the side of my head. Get the feeling that my pupils are a little dilated (not sure if this is due to Piracetam)- feels like I am staring at things. In addition, I have a metallic taste in my mouth (not the most flavorsome of treats). Not that chess is a great example to measure brain function - but did notice that my chess improved majorly - could be due to practicing yesterday - still believe its too early to show noticeable signs. Will update post after 3rd tablet. Just took first 2000mg Ginkgo Biloba tablet for the day.
4:30pm Update: Just took the third 800mg tablet for the day taking total usage up to 2400mg for the day. Again, other than a bit of a fuzzy head no real side effects - had a huge burst of motivation before but not sure if it can be attributed to the Piracetam.- as I am a natural insomniac and side effects are insomnia it will be interesting to see how it affects sleeping patterns - will update more about this on day 2

Not feeling too good
The time is now 7:47am and I have taken no supplements today thus far. I am feeling horrible - I must be coming down with the man flu, it's either that or I have been internally attacked by the mucus army. In addition to the army marching around in my chest, my eyes feel like they have had volcanic sand rubbed in them and I swear my nose has given up the function of smelling and has turned into a waterfall instead.. flattering I know. To make matters worse I am on the train so every sniffle or slight sneeze is met with a 100 stares - obviously the entire carriage feels threatened by my obvious swine flu symptoms. OK, so I'm about to attempt a game of Chess to see how my brain is functioning - Windows Chess Titans, Level 4 - Listening to Mozart. Game 1: Lost, Game 2: Draw, Game 3: Won - whoo hoo! brain function is back on and it's only 8:39am. Let's see how we go after a whole day of working on the Politics group assignment..
Update 5pm: Feeling just as bad as this morning if not worse :(

Ginko Biloba 2000mg Day 6
I have now been taking 2000mg of Ginkgo Biloba 3 times a day for less than a week and cannot list any conscious improvements to my concentration - perhaps this is due to the fact my office faces a 40 year old that insists on acting out his missed adolescence by riding miniature motorbikes around in circles - If only he had the patience of a child he'd get bored with it (but he doesn't - well not for at least for a couple of hours!)
Right - back to the effects of Ginkgo on studying - I have however been able to remember more in regards to equations and their application. In the past I would need to practice these a few times to rote learn these before understanding how they applied to a situation, however I can now have one attempt at a question and understand how it applied. This may be due to the fact we are now studying portfolio management concepts which is a little more interesting then NPV calculations. Hhhmm will have to find a way to test brain function before and after taking supplements, especially before taking Nootropil - Anyone have any suggestions? Speed Math, Psychometric Tests?

Nootropil (Piracetam) 800 mg - Before Taking
OK, So after an extensive search on Google I have been able to conclude that it is not only I that seeks to expand my mental capabilities but there are others that are willing to defy laws to gain increased brain function. Aware that online forums offer no real medical advice I have decided that the only way to find out the effects of the drug.... well.... is to take it. After all haven't we all put our bodies through excessive drinking? perhaps a few e's too many or a few nights out on the ol charlie? So how bad can this be? - having read a lot about Nootropil ( Piracetam ) it appears that there is no real way to overdose on it, nor are there any prolonged side effects. - whoo hoo, i'm in :)
